DataRover Store
The Newton may be more powerful but for sheer panache the DataRover 840 powered by the MagicCap OS was a contender for the first PDA also-ran position. As you can see from the images below the whole platform mimicked the real-world paradigm to the extreme. There were MagicCap devices from Sony, Motorola, and of course GeneralMagic (the developer of the MagicCap OS) was shopping it around to other manufacturers. The DataRover 840 was in production until 1999, and unfortunately there is not the level of support that exists for the Newton.
